Is AT&T to Blame for 3G's Performance in the iPhone? [view article]
I also support the 'overwhelmed' suggestion.Just read the disbelief from Engadget about iPhone usage:
"And then we ran the numbers. We could hardly believe it. So far in 2008, the iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPod touch account for some 95.8% of all mobile views on the full site."
Game set and match I think. Better start investing in your network AT&T..! Aug 21 09:03 AM
Apple & Google: A Detailed Comparison [view article]
Fantastic piece of analysis from which I learned much, thank you very much.To the poster above, I think the threat of resurgent Windows competition isn't possible without Microsoft throwing NT out and starting afresh on a Unix base. Something I doubt they will ever do.

Apple: Great Company with Lofty Valuation - Due for Pullback [view article]
Another analyst that measures Apple by it's P/E.It's erroneous. Look at the cash generation machine working flat out with subscription accounting for iPhone, iPod Touch, Apple TV and Applecare Aug 18 09:04 AM
The End Run Around the Operating System Is Under Way [view article]
I've read this guy's posts a few times now, and I have to say that he really does get the wrong end of the stick pretty often. What he means is that Windows is dead. The world is on Unix now, the leader being the Apple Mac.
Just look at mobiles, the difference between touch phones is those running Windows, RIM's OS, Symbian and OSX. The differentiator IS the OS...

Appetite for Risk? Buy Some RIMM [view article]
TOY? iPhone?Only able to be said by someone without any knowledge at all.
iPhone IS a handheld COMPUTER, not a phone, or an email device, that struggles to do more.
Get your facts straight.
Oh and here's a fact. A gentleman I know, who is 75 and retired after a very successful business life, recently made his first mobile call - on an iPhone. It prompted him to buy one, and then to say that he thought he had missed the computing revolution altogether; but with his cherished iPhone perhaps hasn't!
Beat that with an equivalent story about Blackberry. Aug 12 06:34 AM
Research In Motion's 3G Counteroffensive: The Smartphone Arms Race Escalates [view article]
@Josephkr,Of course the iPhone is a mobile computer/tablet/slate whatever, you're right.
What is predicted though is not 3.5" but 6" or 8".... Aug 07 10:27 AM
Research In Motion's 3G Counteroffensive: The Smartphone Arms Race Escalates [view article]
@mag, Why the need for insults? Threatened are you?The results will speak for themselves, not the share price, because as we know there is a lot of nonsense, and talking down of APPL at any opportunity. Whether the lowball forcast, Jobs' health, options and all the other techno-FUD like 'Macs are twice the price' and other twaddle.
If you want to go long my friend, don't go RIM, go APPL. Free advice.
Oh, and there is one other thing that keeps APPL down, Wall Street doesn't like popular stocks after taxi drivers start tipping and buying them. APPL has a massive army of loyal users and promoters which makes them nervous. So just buy more while they're cheap and you'll be in the money soon enough. Aug 07 10:24 AM

And there I was listening to Steve Ballmer who says Microsoft Windows Mobile owns this space...You meant to say it doesn't? Oh dear.
(Oh, and I'd ask the poster above if he knows all 3 of the teenagers in the world that need to have BitTorrent on their phone. Or watch DivX..? ) Aug 07 10:18 AM

I'd make him stay with a Nokia or Moto if all he can do is whinge and whine... Aug 07 09:15 AMiPhone Production Rumors Swirl [view article]
The Daily Mail nano rumour is a feed from Windows Mobile at MSFT - a feeble attempt to slow or delay the adoption rate of the iPhone...I personally think the 800k per week is close to true. After all there are still people waiting in line almost a month after it launched.. Aug 05 09:29 AM

Why Is Dell Trying to Compete With the iPod? [view article]
For all his untiring work at trying to prop up the failing Microsoft Windows/Dell monopoly and predicting failure for everything Apple, they had to find work for Rob Enderle. They'll never launch this product, but thankfully, RE is one year nearer retirement.
Sorry to be mean hearted, but the guy really is a mendacious idiot... Jul 31 08:29 AM
Three Apple Fears That Were Blown Out of Proportion [view article]
Fair commentary. The over arching truth is that there is activity to contain the Apple success story.
There are a lot, in fact a HUGE number of businesses and people who do not want to see the Apple freight train run them over.
It is going to run them over, but in the meantime expect negative talk at every opportunity. Jul 29 09:43 AM
Apple: Expecting Short-Term Weakness [view article]
OK I'm not an idiot too. I know the difference between here and hear! Jul 25 10:15 AMApple: Expecting Short-Term Weakness [view article]
The internet echo chamber working to full effect hear. All these twats who mindlessly repeat what they hear.
Apple has a record quarter, offers sensible guidance demonstrating good growth (to be handsomely beaten as normal) and people think it's all weakness? Mind numbing. Jul 25 10:14 AM
